I am Shrivats Manikandan, a current junior at Kirksville Senior High School, and my previous studies have investigated the effects of methamphetamine on the blood-brain barrier, a critical field of research in neuroscience and pharmacology. I like to combine my values for both science and helping others through direct community involvement and application-oriented research. I always strive to enhance my understanding of neuroscience and exhibit excellence when it comes to benefiting my surrounding community with research.
